Zachary Zook releases the Second Flush which
include three previous recordings,
The Struggle,
Guitar and The Flush from the 1998 compilation
album
The Flush.  On the Second Flush, Momma's
gonna sing, a folk/rock/blues ditty about a
tempestuous family,
Russell Stone a swing/blues
ballad immortalizing great Rockers and thier live
shows,
The Dream a pop tune on daring to act on
your dreams,  and the
Who Song a poke at control
freaks and a tribute to The Who at the end with
constant drum roles, bass rifts and subtle sweeping
distorted guitar leads combine in a effort capture a
small part of the legend of The Who, were recorded in
one week in February 2005 and all the instruments
on these song and voice were played by Ken Brodeur.
These tunes are on the pop side.  A cover of a Ted
Nugent song
Stranglehold, my version is a strange
jam and for the balance of tunes, the last to appear
on the album,
Gotta Go does an enteresting effect on
the vocals to antique the sound and to round out the
album and join the three previous recordings another
instrument was added,
Requiem of a Dream.
Zachary Zook is a band project of Ken Brodeur which
has included many artists over the years yet
this compilation, at least at this time, was mostly his brain child.  All parts were played by Ken on all
the tracks except for the 1998 recordings.  On those tracks Chuck Lanza played guitar on all three of
the '98 recordings.  Jeremy Maloos played bass except on The Flush (it has no bass part), Joe Hardy
played drums on The Struggle and special guest Gary Funke on The Flush.
By the way, The Flush was a creation inspired by a toilet that could sing, check it out!
